Sports Donga is trying to set itself apart from the other ajusshi driven sports newspapers by teaming up with the club of the moment, Circle to host their relaunch party. The online site and newspaper have a new logo and faster site but will this be enough to bring new readers?

Who cares.

Comedian Shin Dong-yup launched IXEX, diet sneakers at Hyatt Hotel at Han-nam dong on April 28th. The well-connected comedian failed at convincing his celeb friends to attend this off-beat event and I don’t blame them. Who would want to attend a diet sneaker launch show hosted by a mid-age comedian?

First of all, what the hell are diet sneakers? Do you wear them to burn more calories? If so, who would want to wear those odd looking sneakers out in daylight?

Second, why is Shin Dong-yup, a male comedian who never dieted selling weight-loss sneakers? He should’ve hired female celebrity who experienced significant weight-loss to back this product.

Finally, it was obvious that the attendees were forced to attend because they clearly did not belong at the event. Singer Kim Jang-hoon, actor Jo Jae Hyun and Jewelry are the least likely individuals to use Shin Dong-yup’s diet sneakers. Or appeal to consumers who might test drive IXEX.

It looks like another flop in the works. Disappointed in otherwise smart and witty comedian. Perhaps he’s just not the business type.

Wearing a plastic orange contraption that looks like a dress, Eugene pulls up for the opening of the new Smashbox cosmetics counter at Lotte Department Store in Yongdeung-po.

Huh? Yongdeung-po? How random. You would think that a U.S. big name celebrity driven cosmetics brand would open on the Kangnam side or even in downtown.

Eugene is the face for Smashbox in Korea and currently stars on the on-going drama, “Three Dads, One Mom” on KBS.
