Paris Baguette is your run-of-the-mill chain bakery in Korea. Nothing special. But there are a few more upscale, better quality Paris Baguettes, especially in the Kangnam or Hannam areas. (Oh, if you are in Korea, you must visit Passion 5 at the head office of Paris Baguette in Hannam-dong! All the baked goods, cakes, sandwiches taste and smell absolutely divine! ? don’t I sound so nice? hahaha)

So, for me, it really doesn’t matter that Kim Tae-hee has signed a one year contract with the chain. What bothers me about this ad is that her chompers look like they can take in that big ham and cheese sandwich in a single bite. Those teeth were put to good use! During the filming of the CF, she had to chow down on 30 Paris Baguette sandwiches! Wow! Go chompers!

Ms. Kim is now in Los Angeles for a 1 month English language intensive course. We all know that it’s just an excuse to party in the states.

Another “Bin”, this time Hyun Bin stars in the new CF for Outback Steakhouse. The Australian themed family restaurant is trying revamp their image as a pork house rather than a steakhouse due to the controversy over U.S. beef in Korea. As a result, many people are staying away from beef all together (even Korean Hanwoo) for fear that less than scrupulous restaurants might serve them U.S. beef.

However, if you know anything about Korea, you will know that generally, people in Korea love this place. During meal times, you usually have to wait 30-40 minutes for a table. And many equate a good steak with Outback. Apparently, these people have never had a REAL good Black Angus dry aged steak. (yum!)

Hyun Bin is also starring in a new crossover film (it’s actually a 7 part commercial for LG XNOTE notebook computers) out with Shin Mina and Ryu Seung-bum called, “Summer Days” and will join the cast in the upcoming KBS2 drama, “The world they live in” with Song Hye-kyo and Daniel Choi. The new drama will air in November 2008. Busy boy.

Can we stop with the Daniels and Dennis’? First there is smoking hot Daniel Henney, MIA Dennis Oh, and now Daniel Choi. The 23 year old is the star of 3 “Thinking by T” (loose translation of 생각대로 T) tv commercials for telecom giant, SK. Out of all the D’s, this one looks like he can carry a tune. Not that it matters. However, what’s more important is that the cutie can speak Korean?unlike the painful English accents that Daniel Henney and Dennis Oh both share.

Daniel Choi will have a part in the new KBS2 drama, “The world they live in” (그들이 사는 세상) with Song Hye-kyo and Hyun Bin.

Jun Ji-hyun teams up with Dong-bang-shin-ki (DBSK) for Samsung Anycall’s most wanted mobile phone (and iphone copycat), the multi-featured Haptic. The 3 CFs introduce the new colors in the cheesy named “Colorful Love”. The cheese is extended with the names “My heart is Blue” for Jaejoong, Yoochun and Changmin shows that “White triangle”, Junsu and Yunho’s has pink love.

Wait a minute. Two boys are carrying a pink phone? It would have been more appropriate if Miss Jun was using the cotton candy colored phone. But then again, reverse advertising is nothing new (i.e. Kwon Sang-woo selling women’s cosmetics for the Face Shop)

Unfortunately, we see very little of the sexy CF queen since she shot her part separately. So, I guess that’s why the DBSK boys look so sad and serious.

Sad and serious will not sell phones.

Bae Yong-joon is the new face for GPS navigation system & PMP (personal media player) manufacturer, Viliv. The TV ad, starring the ajumafied actor will be filmed somewhere overseas.

Now that’s unlimited excitement.

Yoon Eun-hye’s (25) obviously photoshopped luxurious locks will be showcased in a brand new CF for Korean medicinal shampoo brand, “Ryo” (Amore Pacific). Inspired by the likes of Hwangini, the Coffee Prince star will be stepping back into history when women had thicker hair with the help of wigs.

So you too can have thick hair if you use this shampoo.

The new CF will air on April Fools Day 2008.

Nikon’s latest commercial for the new D300 DSLR features Rain as a National Geographic-esque photographer in exotic Cambodia.

But no matter how adept a photographer the commercial makes Rain appear to be, or how well he rolls his R’s in the sexy voiceover, I just can’t bring myself to spend on a camera with a $1800 price tag–and that’s excluding the price of a decent lens.

Jang Dong-gun is featured in the newest commercial (CF) for SK Telecom’s campaign, “Thinking in T” (loose translation of “생각대로T”) to promote it’s video mobile services.

The sexy actor hangs out in a bathtub in the middle of a room (and yes, we all have bathtubs in the middle of a room), looks at a magazine with his face on its pages, and decides to catch up via video with his friend since he is bored and lonely. The concept is supposed to be cute, but it would be alot better if he was naked in the tub. That would promote video phone service. After all what are tubs for?

The second SK CF is much cuter - Jang Dong-gun video phones his momma while wearing a bear head.
