I am Sam teacher, Yang Dong-gun enlisted to the army in secret last Tuesday, May 6th, 2008 unlike other (popular) celebrities who are usually accompanied by upset fans and paparazzi when enlisting.

According to Yang Dong-gun’s management, his secret enlistment reflects his personality. Apparently, he’s a very private person and wanted to spend his last days with close family and friends.  I guess he doesn’t think too highly of his fans.

And here goes another one to the army…and many more to come this year.

Good luck Yang Dong-gun!

Tastes like Bae Yong Joon

May 13th, 2008 News Flash, Star Stamp of Approval 79 Comments »

Ajumma superhero Bae Yong Joon will boldly stride into the Japanese fast food industry and come out with Korean cuisine lunchbox sets, available at Japanese 7-Elevens from June 13-15th. For an eyebrow-raising $24 (2500 yen), the “Gosire Bento” sets will include 16 various Korean dishes such as bulgogi and ssam-bab.

Lunches seem like an odd territory for Bae Yong Joon to venture into. If he really wanted to take advantage of the stronghold he has over married, middle-aged women, he should consider hawking more ajumma-appealing products such as ginseng or household cleaners. Imagine the skyrocketing sales if he ever became the new face of Mr. Clean!

So long as ajummas don’t mind being milked for all their worth, it looks like Bae Yong Joon can freely choose to promote and preposterously charge anything he so desires.

Their song ‘Tell Me’ was already a #1 hit single 2 weeks before the official album was released in Thailand.

This is Wondergirls’ first performance in Thailand.
