Korea is a small country but apparently, there is a need for another film festival. Pusan isn’t enough. The 9^th Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF) runs from May 1^st to 9^th, 2008 in Jeollabuk-do province.

The film festival will show 192 films from 40 countries.

The 2^nd Musical Awards was held at the National Theater on April 28^th, 2008. The big celebrities seemed to have shared the same stylist. The women all have pulled back hair with deep plunging necklines or pleated detailing in their dress. A contrast to the flowy dresses at the Paeksang Awards last week.

Ok Ju-hyun and Jo Seung-woo won Best Actress and Actor Awards.

Se7en cancelled the scheduled performance last minute at the 2008 JCPenny Asian Excellence Awards in Los Angeles. Instead, he presented the Outstanding Film Actor award to Tony Leung. How Se7en like!

But Se7en must have a clear grasp of his status in the states by attending the D-list awards show. They nominated Maggie Q in Balls of Fury and Vanessa Hudgens in High School Musical 2 for Outstanding Film Actress. Rush Hour 3 was a nominee in the Outstanding Film category, and Rob Schneider was given the Half Asian Award!

The Asian Excellence Awards will air May 1st on E!.

More floaty dresses! Park Junga, Park Shin-hye, Park Shi-yeon, Song Yuri, Song Yeh-jin, Yoo In-young and Yoon Eun-hye all chose gorgeous dresses this time around at the 44^th Paeksang Arts Awards. And can’t forget the men, they don’t look half-bad either.

The 2008 Paeksang Arts Awards will air on SBS.

Overall, the dresses were divine….
