Eva Longoria wore it for her 33rd birthday in March, Jennifer Garner at the “Juno” premiere in December 2007 and now Jun Do-yeon wears a hemmed up version at the Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF) in May 2008.

Eva’s calves seem to thin. I don’t know if it’s the angle but eventhough she has the curves, Jennifer Garner looks the best in the dress. It just looks weird on Doyeon … If Eva had better legs, then it’d be her all the way.

I don’t think the pictures do any of them justice; Eva is the only one with a pose that actually doesn’t look awkward. Which is partly why I think the dress looks better on her aside from the fact that she fills it out better.

Ew Eva looks a hot mess! She looks like a bobblehead doll! All head, bony legs. Jen actually looks best, and usually she looks busted. Jun’s shoes are nice but the rest of… everything looks weird.

Jun Do-yeon’s posture is horrible as are those shoes. ~shoulders back, girl~ Also, her bust line seems to be sitting pretty low in comparison to the other two. Shortening the dress threw the dimensions off way too much.
I think I agree that Jen usually isn’t the best but is in this line up. Eva is actually a tiny thing but is popping out of the dress a bit. Both Eva and Jen look much better than Jun Do-yeon, sorry y’all.

Wow, I totally disagree!
The proportions of the dress and overall styling look best on JDH. Yes, the hemline and grecian heels with her short wavy hair is perfect together.
I think some of y’all may be biting People magazine a little too hard. Did you vote for the American stars because they are supposed to be ‘tall’ or ‘curvy’ and therefore ‘fill the dress out better’?
Fact: Eva Longoria is very short, probably the same or shorter than JDH.
Fact: Jennifer Garner is hella stick thin skinny, possibly even more so than a Korean woman like JDH.
I love Eva L. and think she is super hot and glam the way a celebrity should be. But this dress is NOT it for her. I think the phot of of her was shot top down, so her body looks strangely ‘fish eyed’ and ill-proportioned –her head looks too big and her hair overpowers the dress and then her legs look too thin. As for being curvy — in the 3 shots, the dresses hang like babydolls and are ‘filled out’ practically the same way by each actress.
I think Jennifer Garner is WAY over-rated in every way except for maybe her skinniness and ability to play a 13 year old girl extremely well Her legs are cut off in a way to make them look stumpy and with her overpowering hair and that pose — she is not doing anything for that dress or vice versa.
I’m not even a real big fan of JDH but she TOTALLY works that dress the best of her, and its, ability.
So for who pops it BEST, she definitely wins.
Now, if you guys just happen to find Eva L. or Jennifer Garner hotter or more popular, that’s an ENTIRELY different thing altogether.

Totally disagree. Take a look at the Paeksang Awards and show me a dress that a star lifted or copied from an American celeb. You won’t, because as I said before, the Korean aesthetic is very different from Hollywood.
And pointing out the obvious — 2 American celebs are biting each other — Eva L. and Jennifer G. Are you saying one copied from another?
For one thing, do you honestly think celebs dress themselves?
Stylists do the work and famous designers give stuff away all the time. It’s more likely that stylists run out of ideas or borrow heavily from the same sources. There are only so many designer brands to choose your ‘little black dress’ from, so overlap isn’t surprising (it’s kinda disappointing, but not surprising).
Even Vera Wang has been style ‘punked’ at her own shows when someone shows up wearing the same thing, which is even more likely because folks will probably wear her line.
Don’t you guys read trash tabloids or style mags? A common sight is the awkward ‘We’re wearing the same outfit and it’s not planned and the look is so distinct there’s no way to blend into the background and hope no one notices’. The celebs seriously have PAINED looks on their faces when they have to pose next to their style twin.
Man, some of you must really hate being Korea or just the motherland of Rain, Suju, kimchi and JYP et. al. to always point out how Korean celebs suck at this or that.

honestly, I would have to say that Jun Do Yeon brings justice to the dress. Maybe it’s her pale skin, her short hair, or the lighting of the pictures, but the dress stands out on her. On the others, the tan or the messy–or even just long– hair covers up the dress and shifts focus to said areas.
also, the angle of Eva’s pictures really emphasizes her height.

I like Jennifer Garner’s more (has a “Bohemian” touch with that hair)…I would have chosen Jun Do Yeon (because I like the wicked superheroine shoes..brings a classic Grecian feel [and with her classy hair]), but I don’t like the hemming of it. It takes so much away from the dress. Keeping the length gives a slimmer sillouette. I think Eva looks so so…she always looks the same whatever she wears= a daytime soap drama actress.

AND fashion on the runway is universal!! What’s on the runway is not made for Americans clients only…If 10 American stars and stylists love a certain look, then I wouldn’t be surprised if other celebs/stylists from different countries also like it as well. I think it has nothing to do with copying Hollywood stars. Why is it okay for 5 HOllywood starletts to wear the same thing, but just one Korean woman wears the same outfit and she’s labeled a copycat?!!! By the way, just because Eve is Latina doesn’t mean she automatically has curves! I don’t understand some of your definitions of curves. Just cause a stick-thin woman has boobs, doesn’t mean she’s curvy.
